The Arden-Arcade region of Sacramento is home to a number of neighborhoods, but Arden Park may simply be one of the most delightful. Anchored by Arden Park and its many activities and events, the neighborhood exudes a true community feel.
The conviviality of the community is mirrored by the elegant and tasteful homes that skirt tree-lined streets. While there are several parks in the vicinity, Arden Park is the heart of the neighborhood, drawing neighbors out with events like Music in the Park, Movies in the Park, Easter Eggstravaganza, kids’ triathlon, and an overnight camping event. Before and after-school programs, as well as a preschool are available, and youth sports camps and swimming lessons are offered in the summer. Adults can take part in softball and tennis leagues, as well as fitness classes.
The neighborhood is in a world of its own amidst the city’s premier shopping areas. A Whole Foods is nearby as is Arden Town Center (with a florist, bike shop, and Starbucks). The Pavilions Shopping Center and Loehman’s Plaza are just blocks, yet worlds, away – convenient yet unobtrusive. For dining, there’s an eclectic row of restaurants on Fair Oaks Boulevard between Morse and Howe.
The community is served by the San Juan Unified School District (Arden Middle School and Mariemont Elementary School are located within the Arden Parkneighborhood). A number of private schools and preschools are also located nearby.
